Picking your Grade 6 Performing Music Course(s)
The Performing Music choice form is now open for course selection in the Genesis Parent Portal.
This is only if your child would like to participate in a performing music course. Do not fill out this form if your child does not want to play an instrument or sing in chorus.
We offer:
- Band
- Orchestra
- Chorus
- Chorus/Band Doubling - Students attend Band Class during school day and Chorus lessons in the morning before school
- Chorus/Orchestra Doubling - Students attend Orchestra Class during school day and Chorus lessons in the morning before school
Please note all sixth grade performers will attend morning lessons whether they are doubling chorus or not. Click Here to download the Music Department's FAQs
Selecting your course through the Genesis Parent Portal:
Step one: Under the "Scheduling" menu, select "Requests," and then hit the green button "Request a Course" under "Music Subject Area"
Step two: click the green "Add" button next to the course of your choice.
If you child would like to double Band or Orchestra with Chorus:
- Pick Chorus and either Band or Orchestra
- Indicate in the "notes" section that your child wants to Double.
